Triple 7 Wins Prestigious Award for Hand-Crafted Beer

8/26/2024

In July, one of the most prestigious beer competitions in the country was held in Oxford, Ohio. The U.S. Open Beer Championship judges more beer styles than any other competition in the world. Main Street Station’s Triple 7 Restaurant and Microbrewery joined hundreds of breweries, from the coast of Kona, Hawaii to Portland, Oregon, that submitted more than 9,000 brews to the competition.

Triple 7 features six varieties of the most refreshing hand-crafted beers in Las Vegas, including the Belgian Witbier, “Winner Winner Wit.” This beer was one of 170 different styles to be judged, and the only beer from Nevada to take home the Gold medal in the Belgian Witbier category!

Casey Jacobson, Brewmaster at Triple 7, said, “I couldn’t believe it! When I read ‘Triple 7 Restaurant and Microbrewery’ next to ‘GOLD’ on the list of medal winners, I screamed. You couldn’t wipe the grin off my face for days as I was so glad to be able to bring one home for our awesome team here at Triple 7.”

Before the U.S. Open Beer Championship, Triple 7 won both silver and bronze at the 1997 and 1999 Great American Beer Festival for their famous Black Cherry Stout. In October, Triple 7 will be participating in the Great American Beer Fest in hopes of bringing home the gold once again.
